Pros

• Cheap product and provides promising result
• No installation, no hoses or pumps because of its own filter bags and pumps
• Powerful suction that enables the cleaner to vacuum dirt, leaves and other unwanted debris out of the pool.

• Very low maintenance.

Cons

• This robotic cleaner has no capability in climbing walls
• Cannot provide a thorough surface cleaning because it has no brush
• Filter bag has no large capacity, hence rinsing it every cleaning cycle becomes a necessity

BOTTOM LINE

The Aquabot S2-40Y cleaner does what it has been advertised of. It’s very easy to use and very convenient because the cleaner can independently work on itself. It has an automatic shut off that lessens the energy consumption. An added bonus is that it’s an efficient and effective cleaner at a very economical price.

However, I have 2 issues: one, it has no larger capacity filter bag and, two, you have to keep on rinsing the filter after every use. With these minor issues, and a very reasonable price, this cleaner made it to our 20 best robotic pool cleaners for a reason.
