Have you now realized how much time you spend on manually cleaning your pool… and now you’re tired? Well, I’m quite certain I can help you with that. Invest in a robotic cleaner like the Aquabot Turbo T4RC Plus. This may not be the cutest robot you will ever see but this robotic cleaner is a promising beast. It does an excellent job of scrubbing, power washing, and vacuuming your in-ground pools. It’s light and very easy to operate. It’s a superior robot cleaner for in-ground pools.

Let’s go into details and see if this is the robot you are looking for.

THE DESIGN

The Aquabot Turbo T4RC looks bumpy. It has a strong body and heavy duty treads. On the side note, treads are the top type of wheels for robotic cleaners. Okay, so getting back, the cleaner as mentioned is not the cutest, unlike normal cleaners. Its design is more of a sporty look. The blue plastic housing, four blue scrubbing brushes, and a white handle with a blue float ring scheme make the robot looks like a friendly sort of monster.

MAJOR FEATURES  OF AQUABOT TURBO T4RC PLUS

Powerjet System and 4 Independent Scrubbing Brushes

This cleaner is a powerhouse and this is because of the power wash system that makes this robot so effective in putting your pool back to its immaculate state. It keeps debris out of the tires and loosens stubborn dirt that sticks to the surface of your pool.

The rotating brushes slacken up debris and build-up along the floors, walls, and waterline, while the pressure washing jet clears away the dirt and contaminants.

Remote Controller

The controller of this bot is very cool. It has 4 directional options for maximum control. The remote has a climb button that tells the robot to go to the nearest wall, a delay button that stops the robot, left and right directional buttons, backward motion, and my favorite, the “speed” button. The Speed button allows the robot to move a bit faster. It is handy especially when you are trying to quick spot clean on the other side of the pool. But, this does not make the robot speedy, okay?

Anti-tangle Cable

The device comes with a 75-inch cable with swivel. As we all know, the tangled cord can really be so irritating and this affects the robot’s performance. With the help of this anti-tangle cable, the T4RC can move freely around your pool without any hassle.

Technical Specification

DRAWBACK

  • BOTTOM FILTER ACCESS

Most robotic cleaners have top access filters, unfortunately not for this bot. You have to flip this sporty, rugged beast for it to be cleaned. It’s a messy task and a struggle for sure.

Moreover, the robot has a diaper! Not literally a baby’s diaper, but it has a cloth filter bag that resembles a diaper. To clean this filter bag, you have to remove two bag clips and pull off the bag off a wire frame, unluckily, you get to contact with the sludge stuck in the sides of the bag and there’s no other way to do this.

  • BUOY ARM

Another problem with T4RC is his buoy arm. You have to adjust it every time to work properly and if the arm gets pushed around while it’s doing its work, it will start doing unpredictable things you don’t like.

  • CORD

The cord may cause problem for the cleaner to get stuck. Although it’s stated in the manual, it would have been better if this was prevented. It’s annoying to keep on changing the handle adjustments every use. Also, it starts spinning in circles and then start eating its cord. Its cord is too long, which is okay. But how about pools that are not large? 75-inch cord may be too much even if it is an anti-tangle cable.

IS THE AQUABOT TURBO T4RC PLUS RIGHT FOR YOU?

What I like about this product is its powerful jet, it indeed vacuums and washes debris, algae away, no doubt. Also, the responsive remote with speed control, where you can clean dirt on the other side of the pool quickly.

The only issue I am concerned here is not being able to access the filter on top, getting the bag could really be messy and a dirty procedure. Customers would also report that this robot gets stuck a couple of times and had to be rescued. Good thing there is a remote control to help with all of this.

Regardless, still, this robot can be worth a try. If you have large in-ground pools, this would be ideal for you.
